Technical SEO aspects such as your website’s security, authentication, site structure, URL, and scams are the foundation of your website and its SEO ranking.
Your website should be up and running with proper security and certification by following these technical SEO guidelines.

Verify your website on gsc

Verification of your website is essential. This is one way to prove that you own a website in the Google Search Console.
It’s a bit complicated but it’s essential because Google Search Console has access to sensitive data about websites, including you. Thus, it is imperative that only the owners of a website be allowed access to this information.
How to verify site ownership on GSC
There are different ways of verification. Here are the basics:
1. First, go to the Google Search Console website.
2. From Property Selector, you can select an unverified website you’ve already added, or choose to add new property.
3. You will be given a list of different methods of verification, which I will discuss after this list. If you’re not sure which verification method is easiest, the site will list up recommended verification methods for your site.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen
5. If you don’t have access or are unable to verify ownership, it’s possible someone else already owns it. If you work for an organization, you will need to ask the site owner for access.

Google Search Console Authentication Methods

Google Search Console has many ways to vital authenticate your choice.
Let’s take a look at each verification procedure: The Ultimate SEO Checklist for 2023
  • HTML Tags – Two HTML Options. For this, you’ll need the ability to edit the HTML source code of your site’s homepage. Google will provide you a tag, which has been added to the HTML code of your homepage in the <Head> section.
  • HTML File Upload – For this option, you will need to download an HTML file, which you will then upload to a specific URL provided by the search console.
  • Google Analytics Tracking Code – If you have already registered a site on Google Analytics, you will be given a tracking code to add to your site’s HTML source code. Just add tracking code and verify the site.
  • Google Tag Manager – If you’ve already set up a Google Tag Manager account with Tag Manager Snapchat, you can simply log into your account to verify the website.

How to Use Multiple GSC Verification Methods

Adding multiple verification methods to your property is a good practice. There are times when a specific authentication method, such as using Google Analytics, may fail due to user error, in this case, excepting a tag from a page on your website.
To do this, you need to go to the settings page for your property and click on “Verify Ownership.” From there, you can select other verification methods to complete.

How long does the certification on GSC last?

As long as the Google search console is able to verify your property verification token, your website will be verified.
There really isn’t a specific timeline where Google Search Console checks the authenticity of a website, so as long as you do your own homework, your website will get verified.
If a website that has been verified before is allowed, it’s better to fix it the sooner the better. Once the search console cannot verify your website, and the grace period expires, you will forfeit all owner privileges and be unable to access the site on the search console.

Verify your website on bing

Next, it’s time to verify your website on bing too. This is done by Bing Webmaster Tools.
You may consider quitting Bing, but Bing has approximately 900 million searches in one day.
This may be yellow compared to Google’s nearly 8 billion searches in a day, but considering some websites, as well as losing a billion searches, can also be verified on Bing, it’s better to do.
The verification process is like the search console. Just go to Webmaster tools, add your site’s homepage url, and select one of the authentication options.
If your site is already verified by Google Search Console, you simply import your site without going through any other verification process. The Ultimate SEO Checklist for 2023
If not, then you have three more options to choose from..
